Sunday Class Schedule
Children attending during 1st Service begin the morning in the sanctuary with the congregation. After the story for all ages, they all leave to their age-appropriate classrooms. The 3rd Sunday is our Children’s Chapel and the children in the 1st service begin their class time weather permitting in the Children’s Grove next to the fire pit. We offer children’s religious exploration at both services as follows:
1st Service - 9:30am
Nursery (ages birth to 5 years old)
Explorers 1 K-2nd
Explorers 2 3rd-6th
2nd Service - 11:00am
Nursery (0-8 years old)
JRUU/YRUU (grades 9-12) meets in the library.
Generally, children and youth are placed in classes according to their grade in school. Parents of homeschooled children may discuss placement of their children with the Director of Religious Exploration.
Children and youth begin in the sanctuary with their families along with the rest of our congregation. There is usually a children’s recessional following a Story for All Ages, after which the congregation will sing a recessional hymn while the children and youth are walked to their classes. First and Second Sessions may end 10 to 15 minutes after the service ends, or earlier. Nursery ends when the service ends. (The 3rd Sunday of the month all classes start the morning with their groups, no time in the sanctuary)
Picking up Children
Explorers 2, JRUU and YRUU (3rd-12th Grade) are dismissed from the class when class is over. Children in the Nursery and Explorers 1(Birth-2nd grade) class must have a parent or other agreed-upon responsible party pick them up from the classroom when class is over.
No playground Supervision
Please note that there is no supervision of the children on the fellowship grounds before or after service. Please supervise your children at these times. All children need to stay in the upper level of the property before, between and after services. Our property is large and it is important that we know where all the children are at all times.
