The RE Committee hosts an event that has us unplugging from our techie, overscheduled lives. This is an outdoor event when it’s warm and an indoor event when it’s cold where we get together face to face. We share a potluck dinner or get pizza, play games, and ditch the TV and computer for awhile.

The Open Forum provides an informal setting for a discussion on a specific current topic or issue. Facilitators take turns leading, and you can speak up or just listen. Forum topics are published in the monthly newsletter.

The Peace Team is a group of individuals that provides an empowering, inspiring, creative spiritual community in which to live out peacemaking in our personal, congregational and global lives. The team meets every other month, participates in peace making activities regularly, and sponsors special events open to the congregation.

The Saturday Sangha is a group of beginning and intermediate seekers that come together to meditate using a variety of techniques such as silent and guided meditations, chanting and, walking meditation. One of our goals is to heal our planet by living a life of peace and compassion. We generally follow the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh who emphasizes the inter-being of all things.

Spiral Earth Explorations is an open CUUPs (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) group. For those interested in Earth-based spirituality, Paganism, Wicca, Pantheism, and/or the Sacred Earth. All are welcome.

We come together to create a safe, caring, confidential place where we support and nurture one another as we take responsibility for stretching and healing ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually and to share in the process of healing old wounds, exploring conflicts and experiencing the wonderful, unique, lovable and loving persons we really can be. Activities include simple stretching exercises at 9:30 followed at 10:00 by meditation or affirmations, personal sharing and reading from a significant book as a focal point. We have some great laughs, too!

Sufi dances allow us to share a deep namaste experience of connection. As we connect with our eyes, we do simple graceful movement while focusing on the positive words of powerful chants and songs. No level of experience with dance is required.

In this a rotating adult dinner program several people serve as hosts and provide their homes, and the guests bring the food. Everyone shares good company, delicious food and lively conversation. This is a fun way to become acquainted with others in our community.

The Young Adults group (ages 18-35) meets the third Sunday of each month for lunch after second service and gets together regularly for fun activities and fellowship. Child care can be arranged. Join our Facebook group “PUUF Young Adults” to find out more.
