The Building Committee is charged with developing, revising, refining and updating the plans for new construction for the congregation; this includes a new building, as well as major modifications of the grounds to provide parking and other needs, landscaping, etc. It is responsible for developing suitable plans that meet the congregation’s needs and desires, within the parameters of available (or envisioned) finances, Unitarian Universalist values, and the directives of the Board and the congregation. Collaboration and cooperation with a range of committees, including Finance, Strategic Planning and many others, is obviously necessary.
